Basketball Tallent
First of all I have all the respect in the world for Bobby Knight and he had some very good success here at Tech, but I am wondering if Pat can bring in better talent and build better teams than RMK. The only knocks I have on RMK is 1. that he wouldn't take the big name guys that might leave and 2. he never got a big man. Sure you can bring up Rizmic or however you spell his name, but he was never talented enough to play div 1 basketball. I know he might have looked good on paper, but foreign post player seldom work out. With that said I would like to know everyone's opinion on this topic.

Well
Now, can Pat bring in the talent we need to compete for the Big 12 title? I don't know. We have some good talent to build on, but we will have to bring in or develop a current post player who can prove to dominate the glass, and guard/contend with the other big men that Tech will face.
I don't think we will see any immediate changes as far as winning percentage goes next season. I will go out on a win and say that we could reach 20 wins, but that will be if we play really well in non-conference. I think Pat will be given about 3 years starting next season to see if he can bring in more talent and contend. After that, if he cannot handle the tough task ahead of him, I don't see him keeping the head coaching job.

I think he gets 2 years guaranteed
If we miss .500 by a large margin next year, though, he does get the sutton treatment and needs to show something in his 2nd year or else.
